Gaimin Gladiators – Sticking to Their Guns
Coming off a phenomenal season with a second place at TI12 and sweeping all three Majors, the Gaimin Gladiators are not changing their winning formula. Seleri’s recent tweet exudes confidence in the current lineup’s ability to conjure up another spectacular performance in the upcoming season. With the roster intact, they stand as a formidable force.

Can we win 66% of all (T1)tournaments again? No idea, but we can at least try!
Tundra Esports – New Direction?
Last year’s TI champions had a less than ideal showing at TI12, leading to Nine’s departure from the team. As Nine takes a break, rumors suggest a shake-up with Topson possibly moving to the offlane.
Today, we bid farewell to the titan Dota 2 player, @RAX_Nine 🙌 💙
Your time at Tundra has been nothing short of legendary winning us our first TI championship 🏆 Thank you for you unwavering dedication, unforgettable moments and sublime plays.
Best of Luck #GoodbyeNine — TUNDRA (@TundraEsports)
The community is abuzz with the prospect of Tundra securing Topson for the offlane role and the veteran duo Cr1t and Fly for support positions. There are a number of spaces free on the time now that most members are jumping ship:
Nine’s decision to take a break from competitive Dota raised questions about the reasons behind his departure. Whether it was a pre-planned move or a response to the evolving team dynamics remains a topic of discussion.
Currently, the Tundra roster only retains two players: Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen and Martin “Saksa” Sazdov. While Topson may depart and switch roles, Saksa recently hinted he might retire from Dota altogether, leaving Tundra with an entire roster to rebuild.

2: Topson (TBC – may switch to offlane)
3: 33 departed for Team Liquid
4: Nine departed

Nouns are starting anew
Nouns, the North American dark horses, are parting ways with their current roster despite an impressive underdog journey leading up to TI12. The org has chosen to disband their Dota 2 division, and Nouns is on the lookout to assemble a new team that can carry the torch forward.
Thank you to @k1hectorxd @Gunnardota @MooDota2 @lelisdota @yamsun_dota & @filipeastini for an excellent 2023 season!
Enjoying roster-mania so far? 👀

LGD Gaming, stalwarts of the Chinese Dota scene, clinched third at TI12. Fans eagerly awaited the return of Ame to active competition, as his hiatus has left a void in the roster but it seems it’s not meant to be.
In a surprise move, LGD Gaming announced on November 11th that legendary midlaner Nothingtosay left the squad. Now, the full new roster has been announced:
1: shiro
2: Emo
3: niu
4: Pyw
5: y`
Team Secret – Back to the Top?
Another veteran team that’s had a hard time in the changing Dota landscape is Team Secret. After placing gradually higher every TI for several years, they also didn’t put in an appearance in 2023. Perhaps that’s all about to change with their new roster.
It’s no surprise to still see Clement “Puppey” Ivanov at the helm and now they have managed to qualify for ESL One Kuala Lumpur, beating out the likes of OG to earn one of the WEU slots. The full roster now stands with Crystallis, MidOne, BOOM, yamich and Puppey.
The Road to Kuala Lumpur starts here.

Team Liquid – Strategic Roster Reshuffle
After a season that didn’t quite meet their high standards, Team Liquid is poised for a major roster overhaul. Immediately after their departure from TI, zai announced that he was taking break. The team has welcomed 33 as their new offlane player, bringing a new dynamic to the squad.

Team Spirit – Unchanged and Unchallenged

The reigning champions of TI12, Team Spirit, are not looking to fix what isn’t broken. With no roster changes in sight, the team is expected to continue their dominance and start the season with the same lineup that brought them the championship title. While they won’t be able to attend Kuala Lumpur due to illness, we can still expect that they’ll dominate the next year of pro Dota.

Talon Esports – New Banner, New Beginnings
Talon showcased their potential at TI12, especially against the Gaimin Gladiators at TI12. Despite this, the entire roster has split up. With a series win under their belt, the team’s members are now sought after by a new SEA organization, as revealed by Blacklist International’s Gabbi on his stream.
Meanwhile, Mikoto is contemplating a break from competitive play but remains open as he’s receiving plenty of offers. Whereas Talon is now on the hunt for a fresh roster to compete under their banner in the new season.
OG – One Last Ride
2023 was a rough year for OG. After only making it to one Major, this was the first year the org didn’t even put in an appearance at The International since their inception. After troubles with their roster and last minute changes, it’s no surprise they’ve lacked synergy.
Now, they’ve announced two brand new players to the team. With Taiga and Chuvash officially leaving, there’s been a bit of a mix up with the roles too:
New power, new friendships from all around the globe. Today, our new chapter begins. Welcome home.OG Dota 2 2024:

Team Falcons – Super Group of Dota Talent
There’s a brand new Dota 2 super group on the cards playing a big role in the Dota 2 roster shuffle 2023. Team Falcons are a Saudi Arabian team made up of all star talent in the game. Their roster was only confirmed on November 11th but is already making waves. It hasn’t been confirmed yet but it seems safe to say fans will likely get their first look at Team Falcons either at ESL Kuala Lumpur in December or the Pinnacle 25 Year Anniversary Show.
skiter
Malr1ne
ATF
Cr1t
Sneyking
On this team of huge names in Dota, Malr1ne is the only relative unknown. He’s been playing competitively since 2021 on teams including Creepwave, Fantastic Five and Nemiga Gaming. He’s an unknown entity but it seems Falcons will become a force to be reckoned with.
We are here to conquer DOTA 2 Please welcome our star team: Carry @Skiter, Support @SneykingGaming, Carry@AmmarAlassaf6, Mid Malr1ne, Support @Cr1tdota, Manager @AfrOmoush International here we come! #FalconsAreHere – Team Falcons @Falconsesports November 11th 2023
BLEED Esports – SEA Powerhouse
Bleed Esports are a pretty new team on the Dota 2 scene. After seeing some success in 2023 that landed them at the Bali Major, it seems they’re coming back with a vengeance. Their new all star roster was announced on Twitter on 15 November 2023:
JaCkky
Kordan
Masaros
DJ
Taiga
Azure Ray – Stars All Gone
Despite being a brand new team, Azure Ray were one of the most successful Chinese teams of 2023. They placed 4th at The International because, in no small part, of their all star lineup. However, it seems they’re not quite happy with that result. As of November 28th, Chalice, Somnus and fy have all left the time.
Fans of Chinese Dota will be very happy to hear that ex-LGD support player XinQ has found at place at Azure Ray now. They may not reach the heights of 2023, but there has to be a good reason for the changes. The new full roster is:
Nigma Galaxy
The long awaited announcements from Nigma Galaxy are finally here! Kind of. A good few weeks after the rest of the Dota 2 world confirmed their rosters for the 2024 season, Nigma have finally confirmed that MinD_ContRoL, Mikey and Yuma have left the team. Additionally, gh has moved to inactive roster in order to spend more time with his family.
But that doesn’t mean we’re at the end of the line for Nigma. In a tweet on December 22nd, they confirmed the long awaited returns of Sumail and Miracle. As always, Kuroky will be acting as captain.
Nigma will still need to lock in their position 3 and 4 players before they’re able to play. Perhaps this is the year they’ll make it back to the top tiers of pro Dota.
The upcoming 2023-24 Dota 2 season is shaping up to be one of the most thrilling yet, with teams reimagining their rosters to create the perfect synergy. As the transfer window remains open, the community waits with bated breath for more updates and official confirmations. Stay tuned as the Dota 2 landscape continues to evolve, especially for many more upcoming teams, such as Team Tickles, Team OG, Falcons, Heroic, and an unannounced SEA squad in the making.
